The PAGB (Photographic Alliance of Great Britain) have their own awards system. CPAGB is to recognise the standard of 'Good Club Photography'.
I failed the original assessment for this back in 2016. I wasn't going to bother with it again but at the start of 2020 I decided I still wanted that fourth set of letters, that being the EFIAP, BPE2, LDPS and the missing CPAGB. Unfortunately Covid-19 struck and everything ground to a halt. The Photography Show was cancelled - here you'd normally take work to a mentor and have it assessed in preparation for the application. PAGB decided to create and online mentoring system and I signed up for that and was paired with Gordon Jenkins. I sent him a selection of my images, he honed in on about 14 of them and then gave me pointers to improve on them and elevate their standard.
The assessments were unfortunately put on hold due to UK lockdowns, but those who were digital applications were given the choice to be remotely assessed. This was done during the January of 2021. So I'm one of the first to be awarded via an Online Adjudication, using full quality images through the PAGB Competitions Entry System.
